 The Hive and The Temple

DSC09847.jpg

We are a collective of artists, priestesses, performers, and shamans that seek to awaken the empowered sacred feminine. Placing Bee Divine Embodiment as ritual theater at the center of multidisciplinary art installations and temple spaces creates potent interactive spaces, transformation, and exploration. Our offerings put the participant at the center of the artwork and asks them to engage with will and imagination to co-create individualized experiences of the sacred.

In nature, each hive is a collective of 60 thousand humming female worker bees. The ambrosia of royal jelly elevates one humble larva to become the treasured Queen. The Hive emulates this by creating a collective experience that elevates female-identifying participants to beecoming the physical representation of an archetypal aspect of Goddess.

The Hive Temple

_DSC9714.jpg

Hive creates temples that magnify the Bee Divine Embodiment process through set and setting. It is housed in an experiential space created for living spirit and sacred metaphor, dedicated to the Divine Feminine. In this way, the entire art installation is a part of this potent and interactive ritual theater. Everyone who enters is a participant, whether worshiper or worshipped. The Hive designs immersive creative spaces in service to a self-created sacred experience. We explore how art, imagination, and participation ignite deeply felt experiences within all who dare participate. We invite you to explore what may happen when you engage with these tools and direct them towards the spiritual.

Our first interaction of Bee Divine Hive created space is the Bee Divine Hive Temple. This Temple is a hexagon with basket-like Skep woven walls. Upcycled fabric and meaningful clothes donated by women and community create a textural vessel. Warm honey light glows through the fabric and pulse with the sound of soft humming bees.

Inside, the temple is lush with diaphanous curtains and intricate altar spaces. At the center of the temple is a raised dais. By day sits a statue of the Divine Woman with offerings of incense and honey mead. At night, the dais becomes the stage for those who undergo the Bee Divine Embodiment Ritual to receive their worship. The Hive Temple evokes the soft honey and power of the sacred feminine as embodied by the collective and those who choose to participate.

We were honored to be one of Burning Man’s Honoraria Grant recipients in 2019, bringing to life this living interactive temple space in honor of the Divine Mother of all beings.

Elizabeth Huebner

Creator, Project Producer, and Director, Ritual Theater Director

Elizabeth Huebner is an ordained Priestess of the Divine Mother Church. The Divine Mother Church celebrates the Sacred Feminine across all traditions. Priestess are taught deep vibrational healing practices as well as how to commune with Divine beings and receive their wisdom. Divine Mother teaches that we are all whole and one with God/ess, and that anyone may have a personal relationship with the Divine, and that that union lies within. Elizabeth studied performing arts for over 15 years, exploring the full spectrum of the human experience and the power of the imagination to create real felt states. Her knowledge of the power of the mind to create our reality and impact our lives was further enriched by becoming a certified hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. In the last year, she has been delving deep into the honeyed wisdom of European bee shamanism, engaging in practices that utilize all her life learnings. She’s been attending, participating, and teaching at Burning Man and transformational art festivals for nine years.

Her work focuses on bringing all parts of the Self into wholeness and activating aliveness through embodiment practices, breathwork, and ritual theater. Her offerings seek to ignite the sacred remembrance of Divine Presence and support its embodied integration for the purpose of metamorphosis, expansion, and the healing of our planet.

You are the blessing; you are the medicine. Here we are all prophets; here we are all disciples. I kneel at your feet, sweet sacred one, to receive your blessings and the wisdom of your sacred life.

“The Bee Divine Hive Temple has invited a constant turning inward and surrendering to the will of Divine Mother. She has guided every part by Her wisdom received through my own heart. It draws upon all of my loves; theater, hypnosis, shamanism, and the sacred feminine. In this process, She has taught me how to live, but also why I’m here. Bee Divine reminds us that our bodies, earth, and life itself are sacred. Life is play; magic is made through our own hands, will, and imagination. So let us imagine reality and make it so.”

Karla Capacetti

Hive Priestess, drummer, ritual performer, and oracle

I am at your service as a modern-day Melissae (Apis) and Oracle (Pythia).

My mission at Apis Apythiakary is to midwife the Earth and all of her children into a new world and way of beeing. That means I am here to support you in coming home to your honeycomb heart for the benefit of our living Earth hive. My greatest desire is that we may all find whole beeing healing by using our many senses to receive and embody wisdom from the Earth that we already carry deep inside our DNA.

The Earth speaks to me through bees, plants, movement, rhythm, wordplay, and whatever other way I am willing, in each moment, to embrace Her. As priestess of the honey bee, oracle, herbalist, artist, ceremonialist, dreamer, and energy healer, I help you embrace the truth of who you really are: YOU ARE THE EARTH'S DREAM COME TRUE.

Orielle Anais Caldwell

Hive Priestess, Vestal, Featured Artist, Ritual Performer

From early childhood onward, I trained in dance and studied Fine Art. Movement fuels my visual work, and the human figure has been my chosen subject from the outset. What began as an artistic expression expanded into a devotion to understanding the inner workings of the body.

The essence of creativity is attention and intention - this philosophy is fundamental in how I approach movement training and visual art.

We all have bodies; there is nothing more easily relatable.  When creating playfully, every burst of lines can unfold into the magic that is the human form.

My aim is to bring to life the tension that exists between our dreams and our physical life, the way we view ourselves, and the way we truly are. My work shows the deep desires and inner dances which hide within the stillness of our bodies, patiently waiting for us to open and say

YES
